Annabelle : Creationis for sure not short of scares and it ’s a testament to Sandberg ’s gift in the horror genre that he was able to , arguably , make the best film inThe Conjuringfranchise so far . It would certainly be a pity if this picture show was his first and last offer withmore spin - off picture expect , includingThe Crooked Man .
However , he is working on a continuation toLights Out , and is nextgoing to be directing the DCEU’sShazam ! , so he might be a just a little bit too busy to commit to another installing . He has shown interestingness in doing a reboot or remaking of bothA Nightmare on Elm StreetandCritters , though , so hopefully he wo n’t be leaving the repugnance genre anytime soon .
