Robert Downey Jr. is donning some rather interesting clothes for Tony Stark in the tardy set photos fromUntitled Avengers 4 . Most of the population has yet to see even a frame of official footage forAvengers : Infinity War- and many have yet to even seeThor : Ragnarok- but Marvel Studios is already work hard on the fourthAvengersflick . Unsurprisingly , the movie is shrouded in secrecy , not only when it comes to its title , but even in the smallest secret plan details . The secrecy is understandable considering the films Marvel has still yet to debut , but tending will be on the motion-picture show as it continues through yield .
Avengers 4has been filming since the middle of the summer and set photos have continued to arrive from the Atlanta set . inside information such asHawkeye ’s newfangled costumeanda fond Japanese settingare just a few of the tidbits that have come out unofficially , butRobert Downey Jr. latterly showed he was back on settoo . Now , he ’s front and center in newfangled set pic that may rally a few new account beats for the film .

Just Jaredposted a clustering of new photos from the set ofUntitled Avengersthat feature film Robert Downey Jr. back as Tony Stark in two different scenery , along with a few exposure of Mark Ruffalo doing performance and motion seizure for The Hulk . The photos are particularly intriguing thanks to the tactical safe suit Stark is wearing in a few photos that look like they feature S.H.I.E.L.D. ’s logo on the articulatio humeri . The other photos sport Stark wear down a recognizable shirt , perhaps allude to this being some sort of alternative world or flashback sequence .

The S.H.I.E.L.D. logotype is hard to confirm thanks to the length and quality of the pic , plus what appear to be a glare from the windowpane of the building Stark is inside . However , it has the same grey-headed background and black , pointed , bird - like figure that S.H.I.E.L.D. member wore on their uniform back inThe Avengers . Stark also appear to be standing in the same edifice as Ruffalo ’s Hulk ( based on the windowpane ) , so this could be a flashback toAvengerswhere Stark order on some non - threatening ( but still protective ) suit to try and calm Banner down . He is tire a front - face camera on his chest - peradventure to judge and record the translation operation , or so that others can see the stream and come rescue Stark if thing take a play for the worse .
A flashback is belike the most likely scenario , but what centre this picky scene ( or one interchangeable ) would add to the MCU ’s history and Stark / Banner ’s relationship is minimal at best . It ’s also potentially significant to take note Stark is wearing the same Black Sabbath shirt from his talk of the town with Loki inThe Avengers , indicating this is a flashback or something even bigger . These clew could be indicator thatAvengers 4takes place in some sort of alternate reality ( something rooter have long job ) , potentially where Stark becomes part of the S.H.I.E.L.D. system and is tasked with trying to block Hulk ’s latest violent disorder .
This could be a face of read too much into thing , but in the case where this does take place in the present twenty-four hours in the regular timeline , it would confirm that S.H.I.E.L.D. is back in a very big way and/or Banner is losing control . Stark’sAvengersshirt is the perplexing firearm of the puzzle , but perchance he ’s returned to his closet for a lucky shirt . Last time he wore it he successfully stopped the Chitauri invasion ( and most die ) , so he could be looking for a good fate magical spell as every hero in the MCU sample to stop Thanos . We will certainly originate to get a skillful understanding for what this all could mean as we get airless to the movie ’s 2019 release .
