She does n’t wish wearing their traditional outfit and would rather be back in herVibranium - fill lab , misrepresent up the Earth ’s latest technology .
Although no one from the core tribes or the royal family dispute T’Challa , the one person that does is M’Baku - the loss leader of the Jabari tribe - who comes from down the raft to participate in the ritual . Coogler mention afterwards in the audio commentary that M’Baku ’s entrance scene was , funnily , inspired by Steven Spielberg ’s 2013 film , Lincoln , because of all the political sympathies involved between the Jabari and the relief of the Wakandan tribes .
