After months of waiting , lover finally have an answer to Batman ’s marriage proposal to Catwoman : Yes ! Since the Rebirth of the DC Comics existence , new and sure-enough takes on various characters have meld into exciting escapade and narratives for the hero and villains . This summer , however , some of the biggest news out of the pages of DC arrived whenBruce Wayne demand Selina Kyle to get hitched with him .
Bruce and Selina have always had human relationship ( of sorting ) with mess of flirting and a good deal of interchange across comics , cinema , and TV . In fact , the family relationship has been a core part of the new versions of the characters onGothamfor the retiring four seasons . But the idea of Batman and Catwoman settling down is something young . And while it seems improbable they ’ll both fall up their costume anytime soon , recent events have made both role reevaluate their lifestyles .
Thanks toUSA Today , we now have a preview ofBatman#32 , which sees Selina replying in the optimistic to Bruce . The moment is a sweet one , but will also set up plenty of play and difference of opinion in the emergence to come .
For serial author Tom King , the big issue will have an impact on every aspect of Bruce ’s life . From his friends and kin to his fellow heroes in the Justice League , the news is n’t going to be take on positively by everyone .
“ Some multitude are going to cerebrate , ‘ Oh , my gosh , he ’s gone insane , we need to specify him . ’ And others will go , ‘ He ’s gone reasonable . We finally have a Batman we ’ve been looking for . ’ ”
belike , reviewer will sense the same way as those persona , conflicted over the unexampled status quo for one of the most isolated wedge in all of comics . But for King , Batman ’s unique perspective is what make the prospect of a committed kinship so interesting .
“ Most superheroes , you make them happy and you cease struggle — you give Spider - Man a wife and where do you go from there ? But Batman ’s the opposite : You give him happiness and you create conflict , because he ’s fundamentally a sorry character . ”
Again , fan might not agree with King , but it ’s hard to deny that Batman is certainly a reference push back by a lot of sadness . And while King guess that will take to conflict , Bruce ’s new relationship could be the start of a brand - new version of the Dark Knight . Then again , comics rarely keep superheroes in kinship or in the grave accent for very long . Only time will tell how Batman and Catwoman ’s future together will turn out .
