I was asked to create a story that link the original Blade Runner to its sequel . I was careful about two things when creating this anime piece . The first was to pay the great respect to the original Blade Runner . The 2d was to make this gum anime true to the world but not an imitation . ”
Watanabe is the acclaimed director behindCowboy BebopandSamurai Champloo , and from the look of the prevue , he ’ll bringing plenty of his trademark stylus to the short . TheseBlade Runnerprequels are also proving to be a nice style to tease Denis Villeneuve’sBlade Runner 2049whilst filling in some of the backstories between the films .
