Kingsman: The Golden Circle

For two years , Colin Firth and Jeff Bridges were Oscar rivals - the pair were both up for Best Actor in 2009 and 2010 , with bridge winning forCrazy Heartand Firth forThe King ’s Speechin those respective years . Despite sharing awards   tours , the actors had never been on the silver screen together - untilKingsman : The Golden Circle . Firth returns as the resurrected Harry Hart , a key agent of the titulary undercover agent agency , while Bridges plays Champ , the brain of Kingsman ’s US twin Statesman .

The pair do n’t   have all that much time together in this film , but they do inScreen Rant ’s audience . We talked with the pair about working together , being in the dealership and the spiny event of de - aging .

Two Oscar winner ! You ’ve never cross paths professionally before , at least on screen . What was it similar to work together ?

Colin , I have to ask about the Diamond State - aging - I do n’t suppose that count as a spoiler - how was that cognitive operation ?

John Rupert Firth : Oh , I did n’t have much to do with it .

Did you provide the cornerstone ?

Kingsman: The Golden Circle

John Rupert Firth : Oh , it was me . It ’s amazing , the miracles . If only I could walk around with it .

Bridges : A - ho , they really take me there .

What are your guy cable ’s feelings on that   as you ’ve both done it , about being de - ripened .

bridge : I looked like a weird interpretation of Bill Marr . I did n’t like it . They did n’t polish it . [ To Colin ] And you probably looked - to your own center - it might have looked …

Firth : I do n’t know . My wife when she determine me did n’t recoginize   my unseasoned self . She suppose " who ’s he ? "

Bridges : Yeah , yeah .

Firth : I do n’t think … he did fine as a young Harry fleetingly in the picture , but I do n’t think it look like the tangible [ me ] . I mean , there ’s plenty of evidence , photographic grounds one can compare but it did n’t prompt me of my young self .

Colin , obviously , you ’re back , even though you died in the last one .

Firth : If you say so .

When   was it know that you were function to be come back ? Because obviously , we get out through teaser postersand stuff around the time of filming . When did Matthew [ Vaughn ] do to you about that ?

J. R. Firth :   The conversation never really stopped . I feel like … the first shoot was a long one and then conversation were carrying on after the picture show was finished and before I bang it , it was coming out and we were doing press together and by that detail we were already talk about turn two and Matthew had pretty much made up his mind that I would be back one way or another . So it feels like one long uninterrupted physical process really .

Where do you guy wire seeKingsmangoing ? Where do you see Champ and Harry in finical go bad in next flick , because the ending definitely set that up ?

bridge : Well , I would n’t know about definite . You know , we ’re hop though . It depends on if hoi polloi see this one . But if that goes , there ’s no playscript , but everybody ’s been throwing theme out .

J. R. Firth : We ’ve been harbor ourselves all day with our translation .

So what ’s your version ?

Bridges : Well we ca n’t say you . We get ta tell the boss and see what he thinks .

Firth : We ’re revealing nothing .

And one last question . This is an R and very hard R , so while it ’s a bountiful dealership movie , it is violent and it ’s very different from your typical summertime smash hit . How exciting is that being able to come into that sort of environment and do something a little snatch dissimilar - or be a part of something a little number unlike ?

Bridges : I do n’t know about the gas constant thing . Being a part of something different , that ’s always exciting for me . That ’s what I seem for really .

Firth : Yeah , and it ’s also you do n’t - there ’s lot on the page when you show the script and make you think " Oh , that ’s going to be acute " , and then when you get onto the lot it ’s more intense . He ’ll [ Matthew Vaughn ] have an idea . There were one or two things that are in the film , some that are not . There may be a directeor ’s cut one daytime where really your jaw pretermit .

You filmed material ?

CF : Yeah , yeah . All will be revealed at some tip , I ’m sure .
