There ’s a lot to get unrestrained about in the epitome . Brolin looks fairly standardized to most versions of Cable — though with a slimly less imposing build . Still , he has the cybernetic oculus and arm , a whole slew of dotty weapons , and of course the virus from the future that ’s kill him . astonishingly , however , one unexampled point has been added that ’s sure to forget everyone scratching their heads .
On Brolin ’s left hip is a teddy bear , something not part of the Cable canon in the comic . While it could be a bit ofDeadpool - violation ( similar to Boomerang ’s unicorn inSuicide Squad ) , there might be a deeper meaning . In the more late comics , Cable takes a young mutant named Hope under his extension . After the Scarlet Witch wipe out all new mutants , Hope is bear and take for the messiah of her people . She ’s quickly targeted by anti - mutant zealots , only to be saved by Cable . He then raises her in the future and she demand his last name of Summers .
