First of all , I get laid your stuff onViceland . It ’s my pet thing to watch all the clock time , but I really really savour this flick . I get word the original not too long ago , but something that I really liked about this was that I feel this was super relevant in terms of people that are very militant that have to take something to get that bound . What pull in you guys to this moving-picture show ?
Ellen Page : What attracted me was the premise and why the master copy has keep its cult status and its relevancy . And then catch to fiddle this character Courtney , who has this whole range of experience in the film and I was just fascinated and move and compel and it seemed like really fun , but also something that you could really dig into .
James Norton : Yeah . Fun for me . I remember reading the original playscript and it ’s just a rush . It ’s a thriller and it asks some big and pertinent enquiry , which hopefully will be occupy into story afterwards . But it ’s also a ride and it has that fantastic repulsion element in the destruction . And it ’s an interesting matter , but we had n’t looked at that slant of the Millennial demand to distinguish themselves from the pack and these five people are prepared to go that far and I think it applies particularly to Jamie because he ’s so challenging and wants to prove his worth . So , yeah , that ’s an interesting take .
Did any of you guys get really intrigue by the afterlife ? I know you did the television gameBeyond , which touches on it a little mo , but did this enhance any kind of fascination you had of the afterlife ?
Kiersey Clemons : I do n’t think it , I do n’t think so in person . I mean , without the motion picture , I probably would have spend the clock time thinking about that or at least , even while I ’m here , just what ’s on the other side ? What ’s bump ? Is there another side ?
James Norton : You make love , we ’ve been asked that enquiry and we are really bad at answering it because …
Kiersey Clemons : It ’s a rich question .
James Norton : Yeah . It ’s really hard . Everyone ’s intrigue . Everyone speculates . People save euphony , film , books about it , but no one really has a clue . We sure have no cue .
Kiersey Clemons : Yeah .
One affair that I liked about this film as well is the afterlife dreaming episode that are going on . To separate it from the original , this one feel more like a thriller . What do you guy wire think about those kind of scenes in term of what ’s going on in the afterlife that stimulates the learning ability and stuff like that ?
Ellen Page : Well , for me , I relish the ambiguity of it in terms of what is actually happening here and another affair that attracted me to playing Courtney is this harm from the past tense that ’s been smother manifesting and exploring how it manifests in everyone differently and that form of euphoric rushing that you get on [ inaudible ] or something . So that is something that I enjoyed . I did n’t see it necessarily see it as a rush in the afterlife , but more encephalon firing .
James Norton : How we carry on with guilt and repression and it ’s an overstated , compressed version of that because we ’ve , through the flatline , have prompted this horrible manifestation of our repressed guilt and , in a metaphor for life , we should all be dealing with our luggage more promptly for a respectable mind .
