After Jessie finally escapes her bondage and returns home , she discovers that this ogre was in fact a real life serial slayer , and later confronts him in somebody . While some found this denouement a unwieldy way to end the film , Flanagan lately explain toBloody Disgustingwhy he felt it require to be there .
" It was something when I say the Bible that I roll in the hay . I cognize it was polarizing with fans of the Scripture , so the people that hated that epilogue in the Good Book are going to hate it in the movie . I fully require that [ the epilogue is ] going to be the lightning pole for people to be like ‘ Oh I was so into it and then ( groans ) that end . ’ But that ’s what chance in the book .
