Disclaimer : This review is about a movie that is a little off the beaten path forScreen Rant . If you recognize me , you know I care volatile television set and movies with a lot of carnage . I was invited to screen this indie motion-picture show and after watching it , I politely chafe ask Vic if I could write my review of the movie here . Let ’s get on with it , shall we ?

Despite having a standard plot that we may have see before , Knuckle Draggerscomes at us with an tinge that makes it relatable and compelling . The characters grow throughout the film and I come off savor the drive this film add me through . Knuckle Draggerswas entertaining and kept my attention throughout .
Knuckle Draggerstakes a daring feeling at how relationship work from the POV of a " real man " .
The story begin out come after Ethan ( played byBand of Brothers ' Ross McCall ) . Ethan can be right smart too cultured for his own good and miss the defining bound that helps him stand out , whether it be at oeuvre or in the dating picture .
Ethan gets dumped by his bride-to-be in a brash style and his blood brother Kyle steps up to help him not only get through the ordeal , but to help oneself Ethan " valet up " and accredit what it ’s all about in the existence of date . It ’s a rather poignant cognitive operation to see Kyle manage enough about his brother to tackle this frighten away case of helping Ethan grow .
Kyle , played by Paul J. Alessi , echoes the approach of the infamous Tom Leykis in regards to what spend a penny a relationship with a cleaning woman body of work . To the chivalrous , it ’s frightening , while the " dog-iron " of the male grammatical gender will recite ya they recite you so .
In the storey , Kyle is hardy enough to spout his beliefs in mixed company and lean to catch flak from the opposite gender for his sexist observations on how woman take men with money . I cringed as he spout his grandiosity .
Ethan , meanwhile , while desperate to get back together with his ex , take on a revelation about her that make what Kyle has been say seem utterly sensible , if you’re able to believe that . I reckon it ’s a disclosure that many work force may have feel at one meter or another .
During the course of the moving-picture show , Kyle ’s candid views slump into the minds of the rest of the group . This has an interesting effect on the interaction between some members of the small knit group and things shift for everyone in one way or another . Some of the plaster cast include Omar Gooding ( Deadwood , and Jerry Bruckheimer ’s new showMiami Trauma ) , Justin Baldoni ( Heroes ) and Danielle Nicolet ( The Starter Wife ) .
Actress and carbon monoxide gas - producer ofKnuckle Draggers , Amie Barsky , plays Patricia , a good friend of Ethan ’s . Patricia has her own surprising journeying along the means to Ethan ’s enlightenment .
There are times in the movie where I guess the film producer were starting to trail on with a particular shot , but each shot culminate with the content it is supposed to deliver and moves on with the next one , almost on queue .
I foundKnuckle Draggerscompelling . It does n’t surprise me that it will be the close - night film at the ReelHeART International Film Festival in June , or thatKnuckle Draggerswon two ' arise Star ' awarding at the Delray Beach Film Festival , one of them being “ Outstanding Feature by a New Filmmaker / Producer ” . It also had a sold - out World Premiere at the 2009 10th one-year Newport Beach Film Festival .
If you look closely , you might recognize some of the stamp . Alessi , who plays Kyle , is also the film ’s producer .
The film open and closes on what look like the very same scene . It start to confuse me , but finally the irony of the remnant twist will make unadulterated sense . Everything in this film comes together just like it ’s supposed to … I cogitate . I wo n’t say any longer . You ’ll have to seek to pick up the film to trace the path of each character ’s personal journeying alongside Ethan as he essay to figure out his love life .

This pic is not for everyone , but for those who enjoy this sort of menu , or have it off someone who might , this is a fun moving-picture show . It delivers a big message that ’s a little bit different than expected and I found it had a rather fill cease .

He ’s also indicated that there is some interest being shown towards a possible TV series establish on the film .
