Overall , the show had 3.94 million viewer in the first hour , before knock off again to 3.63 million viewer . For comparability , S.H.I.E.L.D.debuted to 3.44 M viewers , but a 1.1 in the 18 - 49 demonstration last season .
Even though those numbers are inline with another Marvel belongings , they do not bode well for the place go forward - the numbers can only really drop . Reports recently surfaced thatDisney forced ABC to keepS.H.I.E.L.D.around for a fifth seasondespite these ratings . With some already thinkingInhumansis coming dead on comer , it could take a similar move by Disney to keep the series around longer .
If we compareInhumans ' series debut to that ofS.H.I.E.L.D. , there ’s no question thatInhumansis not generating nearly as much interest . The series premiere ofS.H.I.E.L.D.drew in 12.12 million spectator and post a 4.7 in the 18 - 49 demonstration . Both of these numbers are three to four times the size ofInhumans.S.H.I.E.L.D.was building off ofThe Avengersand a resurrected Phil Coulson ( Clark Gregg ) andInhumansis a completely fresh holding , so the comparison is not pure . But , clearly , Inhumanshas some piece of work to do to formalise a renewal .
