Josh Brolin absolutely loves playing the part of Thanos , and is eager to recapitulate the role inThe Eternals . Screen ranting : Thanos is such an interesting character . Half philosopher , half warrior , and you limn that perfectly .
Josh Brolin : Yeah , you know what , I do n’t know what the future brings and who knows , but [ I ] love the idea of something infinite like this . I ’ve never been involved in sequels . The fact that we ’ve done some of Avengers 2 , oh blue , Avengers 4 but Infinity War 2 , I ’m going back . I ’m cash in one’s chips to do more , and we ’re going to do some reshoots and all that . So , I ’m excited about all that . I bed the Russos . I have a go at it play on the Avengers . I did n’t guess I was locomote to and I really loved it . I did n’t even wish it . I loved it . I like playing that case . It ’s a Brando - esqe , Apocalyptic Now case and it ’s fun , but you know , I do n’t know . I do n’t know what the time to come book . I ’ve been surprised my entire career so we ’ll see .
retaliator 4is set to undergo additional photography in the Fall , and it seems Brolin will be command on readiness . The actual plot ofAvengers 4is steep in mystery story , with Marvel currentlyrefusing to even give away the title , which is apparently a freebooter of some kind . This is expected to break up thecliffhanger end ofAvengers : Infinity War , with Earth ’s surviving poor boy either averting or preventing the " snap " from ever happening . Thanos ’s fate , of course , remain unsung . Marvel has a use of killing off their villains , but buff are rather hoping Thanos will outlast to return in the future .
If he does indeed endure , The Eternalswould be a consistent place for Thanos to appear . retaliator : Infinity Wareffectively teased the existence of the Eternals , with scenes define on their lay waste to homeworld of Titan . It ’s potential this will serve as some sort of prequel , exploring the MCU backstory of the powerful race of aliens , but more probable is that Thanos ’s people are n’t as extinct as he believed . That would make a fascinating discharge for the Mad Titan , call into interrogative sentence every one of his motives .
It ’s no surprise that Brolin is n’t up to speed on the modish Marvel movie tidings . After all , he ’s been too busy work to keep checking!The Eternalsis still in the early stages of pre - production , so Marvel would have had no ground to reach out out to Brolin yet if he is intended to render .
