WARNING : This article hold SPOILERS forJustice League : No Justice#3
Starro might have been the first baddie theJustice League of Americaever faced , but he ’s long been the butt of DC Comics put-on - untilJustice League : No Justice . The miniseries acting as prelude to Scott Snyder ’s run on the mainlineJustice Leaguecomic has turned Starro into one of DC ’s greatest Heron .
True , there are stack of reasons to make fun of Starro . Though he ’s technically an alien and one of the most hefty telepaths in the universe … Starro looks like a gigantic starfish . It ’s hard to be too intimate by a baddie like this , but DC’sNo Justicehas proved that no one should underestimate it . Well , should have .

No Justicesees various heroes and scoundrel across the DC Universe join together to attempt to carry through the worldly concern . contrive by Braniac , the four team of heroessee Starro a member of Team Mystery , which contains Superman and Martian Manhunter among others . Two of DC ’s heaviest hitters - who ultimately get to find Starro making the ultimate ritual killing and going out in the most heroic way potential .
The exact specifics of how and why Starro cease up losing it all would requires a lot of explanation and amusing script outlandishness . The only thing that really needs to be known is that Starro , with the rest of the Justice League ’s four team , is attempt to salvage Brainiac ’s homeworld of Colu from the existence known as the Omega Titans . If the young Justice League can bar the Titans then the entire existence , not just Colu , will be saved .
Inspired by Martian Manhunter ( who Starro call " Marty " ) the self - proclaimed Starro the Conqueror tries to use his prodigious telepathic powers to make unnecessary the day . Starro ’s exercise of his powers get to turn the battle in the favor of the Justice League . After being told by Brainiac ’s son that all is lost , thing finally seem to be turn around for the Justice League . The hope is short - lived .
Sadly , Starro is ripped apart by one of the Omega Titans . Starro instantly expires as Earth becomes the next target on the Titans ' list , with only Green Arrow to maintain the worldas the last line of defense .
Starro ’s end is a brutal , if very desperate , one . Yet it ’s really just a part of the baddie ’s tremendous electric discharge in theNo Justiceseries . No Justicehas done curiosity ( pun a little intended ) into making Starro one of the most compelling characters in the DC Universe - stop .
No Justiceis being written by a team of writer , Scott Snyder , James Tynion IV and Joshua Williamson . And even with a span of new creative person ( Riley Rossmo and Marcus To ) working onNo Justice # 3 , the miniseries has sustained an unbelievable through dividing line in humanizing and defining Starro ’s character . He ’s become much more than the goofy starfish on the cover ofBrave and the Bold # 28 .
No Justicehas pervade Starro with a sentience of humour , without sacrificing all levels of menace . He ’s a megalomaniacal control monstrosity … but not without some appeal . DC has often been praised for its villains but Starro has never really been considered one of the best , despite his historical status . No Justicechanged all that and gave the alien , a stirring buyback arc to boot , without losing any of the villain ’s underlying weirdness or homicidal bodycount .
Starro patently is n’t going to stay gone forever , as the never - end bicycle of comic books will get the villain back eventually . However , given how excellent Starro was inNo Justice , Starro ’s Christ’s Resurrection will in all likelihood happen sooner rather than later .
We ’ll probably never see Starro in the DCEU as the Justice League ’s next bragging baddie ( the CGI alone to bring Starro to living would be a very grandiloquent order ) . Yet afterNo Justice , the theme of a cinematic Starro is n’t so ridiculous . Warner Bros. should at least consider the possibility that the violent Starro is exactly what the dealership demand .
