Generations : Captain Marvel and Captain Mar - Vellbegins with Carol Danvers finding herself suddenly broadcast back in clip , where she finds herself in the Negative Zone , on a satellite called Mydon . There , she is immediately sweep up in a fight between the passive aboriginal habitant , and the minions of Annihilus . It is here , when all looks misplace , that the original Captain Mar - Vell leaps in to save the day , and the two decide to team up up to help oneself the dweller of Mydon .

The squad up is especially interesting as Captain Mar - vell does not recognise Carol Danvers , despite having meet her while he was on Earth , and before he was transported to the Negative Zone . However , that Carol and the current Carol are very unlike - in demeanor , and in appearance . Mar - vell is confused by her costume and her introduction of herself as Carr - ell , and conceive her to but be a unknown , and another Kree warrior .
The two manage to win out over Annihilus in the end ( plain ) , and Mar - Vell admits that although he does n’t ordinarily exploit with others , the two make a good squad . Carol is about to reveal her honest identity to her previous booster , but is pop cryptically back to her own sentence just before she can get the words out , leaving him waving goodbye to his new occult friend .
The serial is a sweet and straight example of theGenerationsseries ' entreaty , with some nostalgic and earnest moments in a a simple story of heroes team up up to deliver the goods out over a baddie . It does n’t do much in the way of suprise reveals or setting up future serial , but it ’s a great read for rooter of the Marvel legacy . alas , however , the latest improver to that legacy is prominently absent , asthe current Ms Marvel , Kamala Khan , does n’t make an appearance . While it would be fantastic to see Kamala alongside the Captain Marvel who inspired her , and the Captain Mar - Vell that inspire Carol Danvers , this would simply make the issue a trivial too complex . Still , it will leave devotee of the current Ms Marvel feeling a footling disappointed - and perhaps a separate issuance combining a past version of Danvers with Kamala would also have been a good cream for this serial .
