The veteran actor is having as big a year as anyone in the action sphere , returning as to the big screen as the superhero Vision in the thirdAvengersfilm . Bettany also became a late replacement for Michael K. Williams as the villainous Dryden Vos inSolo : A Star Wars Storyfollowing an extended production schedule for that movie .
Vision played his biggest role yet in theAvengerssaga inInfinity War . Thanos ( Josh Brolin ) sought the Mind Stone that powered Bettany ’s character in edict to complete the Infinity Gauntlet and wipe out half the creation . Of course , Thanos end up successful - but not before Vision attempted to foil Thanos ' design by meeting a noble remainder , in which he convinced Scarlet Witch ( Elizabeth Olsen ) to destroy Mind Stone herself , thus killing him ( and the stone ) in the process . But … Thanos had other plan . Although Vision could stillhave a time to come in the MCU , Bettany certainly sounds like he ’s had cloture . He recently spoke on the powerful ending that Vision got before Thanos undid it .

Speaking toGQ , Paul Bettany addressed a question about his late flick deaths ; he ’s technically died three time in movies this summertime : twice inAvengers : Infinity Warand once inSolo : A Star Wars Story . When asked which death was his favorite , he chose his first inInfinity War . He refer the heartbreaking nature of the scene , in which he begs the erotic love of his life to vote out him for the swell goodness of the universe , as the reasonableness why he ’s fond to that minute .
