Personally , I was a big lover of the originalSilent Hill . Yes , the story was a involved mess , but there was something about the path theater director Christophe Gans ( Brotherhood of the Wolf ) catch that dark and twisted version of nether region ( inspired by the games ) that just made the film memorable - not something you hear often about a horror film , these days . Whether this sequel will be able-bodied to accomplish at least that much ( rather than being just a hard cash - grab b - movie sequel with a 3D gimmick ) remain to be regard ; however , this first clipping certainly take in it seem like the latter is more likely than the former .
