SR : During the six years of [ Comic Book Men ] what are the things that came into your store , that maybe we did n’t see on camera , that really wow you .
Walt : We had a Seduction of the Innocent , original copy .
SR : What ! ?
Walt : Yeah , the Wertham book .
SR : The Holy Scripture that almost ostracise comics forever .
Walt : Yeah , it almost pour down comics . That came in , and I do n’t recollect why it never made it to the show . mayhap because of the guy rope who brought it in .
Bryan : He was a dud ?
Walt : He might ’ve been a little grim energy . But that was a cool item , to see an original copy of the book that almost drink down comics .
SR : Did you buy it ?
Walt : Yeah we did buy it , we ended up piece up a copy of that . It was a while ago , I do n’t even remember what we paid for it .
SR : That ’s awesome . Did you move it right aside ?
Walt : We flipped it eventually . It take a while , you know , because it ’s a pricey book . A spate of mass do n’t even know — it ’s not that assay - after .
SR : Now , you guys have had a ton of Edgar Albert Guest come on : Stan Lee , Adam West , Dean Cain . Who have been some of your favorite guest on the show ?
Mike : I ’ve got a laundry list of ‘ em . I ’m gon na respond for Ming now : Katrina Law . Katrina Law was his favorite .
Ming : Oh yeah , utterly . If you ’re an Arrow buff , if you ’re a Spartacus devotee , if you ’re a Training Day fan , and then —
Mike : Listen to him . Spartacus was second ? Yeah , sure .
SR : I care how you just rattled off her filmography .
Ming dynasty : Yeah , she ’s just one of those personalities , you see her on screen , you immediately go down in dear with her . And then you foregather her in real life —
Mike : And she ’s even more amazing .
Ming : And you fall in dearest with her , like , hard . devilishly , deeply . Yeah , she ’s just such a heavy soul . Her and Rosario Dawson , who was featured this season . They ’re just fun .

Ming dynasty : Rosario Dawson , definitely .
SR : We hear that Method Man made a footling fall by .
Mike : Yeah , he did .

Ming dynasty : Luke Cage .

Ming : Michael Gray from TV ’s Shazam ! For any 70s kids out there .
Mike : Yeah , Billy Batson from Shazam ! .
Ming dynasty : And then the man from everybody ’s nightmares , Robert Englund , drops by as well . So , we stick — we’re very golden , man .

Ming dynasty : Can you imagine , observe Nightmare on Elm Street , crapping your pants in 1984 , and then thirty - three years later .
SR : I was two , bro .
Mike : You were like sixteen , buddy .

Ming dynasty : Oh mankind , well we commonly feature a Batmobile or Bat vehicle of some character . So we had the Batmobile , the Batcopter , we had the Batboat , we had the Batcycle ; you would ’ve remember that was all that was left . And then somebody brought in a Bat vehicle that we had never hear before .
Mike : I have seen it , I have — yes , I have seen it , Walt has go steady it , and Bryan has seen it . You ’ve never hear it . Or you had never seen it .
Ming dynasty : No . It ’s so singular and interesting . Like , just when you recall we ’d run out of Bat vehicles one popped up , and it was passably awing .
SR : Please tell me it ’s the surfboard that Adam West utilise in the [ show ] .
Mike : That ’s next . That ’s season eight .
Ming : And even better , this Bat vehicle , I was the only one that could beat back it . I was the only one that could repel it .
SR : That ’s amazing . speak of Bat vehicles , what is your favorite design of the Batmobile ?
Mike : ‘ 66 . It is the ‘ 66 . I intend , the Burton Batmobile was o.k. . I did n’t wish the Tumbler .
SR : I like the Tumbler .
Mike : I did n’t . I call back the Tumbler was wretched . The Joel Schumacher ? That was horrible .
SR : I also like the Animated Series Batmobile .
Mike : But that was more the Burton .
Ming : How did they get it to turn ? It was like eighteen million feet long . How did that manage corners ?
Mike : It did n’t matter . He did n’t turn , he just force through whatever the hell was in his path .
SR : You guys have had a lot of great guests follow throughout the show . You ’ve had the legendary Adam West , Stan Lee obviously , Dean Cain was on your show . Are there any surprises coming up that we can expect ?
Walt : Lotta Edgar Guest this time of year , veracious ?
Bryan : Yeah , there were quite a few . Some sound ones , too . Freddy Krueger .
Walt : Burt Ward .
SR : Burt Ward , that ’s amazing .
Bryan : And by Freddy Krueger I mean Robert Englund . [ express joy ]
Walt : Luke Cage come into the store ?
Mike Colter ?
Walt : Yeah .
Bryan : Method Man . Wu .
SR : Oh really ? The Wu Tang Clan ?
Bryan : And he ’s super into comedian , it ’s just not like a dude that would be cool to have arrive on , but , like , this guy is immersed .
SR : Really ?
Bryan : He loves it , yeah .
SR : I have a question for you bozo . The DC movies -Wonder Womandid really well , and now it seems like DC is kind of go everywhere with their films . I wanted to ask what your judgement was on that .
Mike : I think it ’s a fault .
SR : Do you ?
Mike : I believe that one cohesive universe — Marvel ’s prove that it ’s a genius idea , and you’re able to do so much with it . unluckily , DC does n’t experience that fashion . I just opine it ’s a misunderstanding , especially if you ’re going for comic Bible fan . We love continuity . So if you ’re gon na do it as a multiverse matter , I intend that ’s not a bad way to go , but have a plan . This just seems like —

SR : You feel the same mode ?
Ming dynasty : Oh , dead . I remember what Marvel ’s done is genius . They kept it simple , build a macrocosm , did private movies first , brought everyone together . Everyone have it away that . DC , with the different actors in the movie and television receiver roles —
Mike : That was a mistake right there .
Ming dynasty : I ’m just gon na boil it down to this : people are not that bright in the foresightful run .
Mike : It ’s true .
Ming : There ’s a lot of hoi polloi out there , most of them are n’t that vivid , and they ’re not gon na get it .

Ming : I ’m not alone in this thinking , and you know , with the different actors , now I ’m listen they ’re doing two Joker movies , you ’re really just gon na jumble people , and they ’re not gon na get into it .
Mike : No , and that’s — yeah , you take masses outta the moving picture and they ’re not gon na enjoy it . You do it , Barry Allen , Grant Gustin ’s done a large chore as the Flash . Why not transfer him over , have him be —
Ming : Keep him in the picture show .
Mike : Stephen Amell is a fantastic Green Arrow . Unfortunately , Green Arrow in Arrow is a liquidator , we know he murders people , but could you impart him into the Justice League ?
SR : That ’s the big motion , right ? This is a bounteous controversy it seems like , particularly with this Joker thing . I know that Scorsese ’s kind of attached , and rumor Leonardo DiCaprio , I do n’t have sex if that ’s true . But who know what ’s gon na happen ? What comic book movie are you guys most looking forwards to ? We still have a luck arrive out . We still haveThor : Ragnarokcoming out , Justice Leagueobviously , Black Panther , Infinity War . What are you bozo looking forward to ?
Mike : I ’m gon na switch my hat in the ring for Thor : Ragnarok . It just looks — it look a small grindhouse , you get laid ? It just looks like an fourscore movie , so I ’m just , I wanna view this .
Ming dynasty : Led Zeppelin in the trailer ? lead Zeppelin does n’t permit everyone use their music , they must have realize something , they must have really like it . I ’m looking onward to Infinity War . That big purple gorilla —
Mike : Thanos .

Ming : — That we ’ve been waiting for , that we ’ve been bet forward to seeing , me for a phone number of years , Mike even longer . We ’ve seen teases of him on screen , we ’re gon na see his top executive now . We ’re gon na see him do his matter .

Walter , I have a question for you . I bonk you ’ve done a circumstances of comic graphics in the past , can you sing to me a little bit about the DC picture show .
Walt : Yes .
They seem like they ’re in a little bit of disarray , at least in my view . What ’s your opinion on it ?
Walt : It feels like they ’re going — they’re ready to get it right . And they did with Wonder Woman , so they ’re on the right path , I call up . I think the Justice League film is make - or - break for them , in terms of following up Wonder Woman with that ; if that motion-picture show hits just like Wonder Woman did then they ’re on the ripe path and they ’re poise to go toe - to - toe with Marvel . So the Justice League movie ’s got ta follow up and pass Wonder Woman , which is gon na be hard to do .
Bryan : Pardon my ignorance , is Wonder Woman part of the Justice League ?
Walt : She is .
Bryan : Okay . So that ’s a big plus .
What do you think about — now they ’re doing a Joker standalone movie that ’s not connected , what do you feel about that ?
Walt : I ’m a braggart continuity guy cable , so — of course , if it ’s well done mass are gon na dig out it . If it ’s Scorsese and that guy from Titanic , who ’s that guy ?
Bryan : Leonardo DiCaprio ?
Walt : Yeah . I have it away they ’re supposed to be postulate with the Joker movie ?
Yeah , the DiCaprio affair ’s rumour a petty bit , we ’re not sure if that ’s true , but Scorsese yes .
Walt : I stand for , hombre of that quality unforced to total in a do a laughable book - centric picture , I can see why DC and Warner Brothers [ are ] like , we do n’t wanna connect their hand to wish , “ well it has to match what was in Justice League . ” So I get what they ’re doing , but I do n’t get it on . I mean , that ’s what ’s so slap-up about the Marvel movies though , is that they devote such tightlipped point to the persistence that it ’s like a oddball ’s pipe dream to see that level of regard and attending pay to continuity .
