This prospect was never shot because , as product designer Bo Welch explain , the flick already had a great conclusion , filming the shred was never a priority ; and with Warner Bros. cutting the film ’s budget by 35   percentage   before it start shooting , the scene was taken out . The film ends with Grandpa deport the line“One thing about living in Santa Carla I never could suffer : all the damn vampires . ”

The substance of this final scene is up to rendition : while some think this is just further proof that Max had been the loss leader of the vampire in Santa Carla for decades , others speculate that this wall painting could suggest that Max is an unkillable figure who   will finally make out back . Whether this excess scene would have   fortify the final fight or diminish it is up to the viewer . What is undeniable is that Grandpa ’s fabled last business was a perfect ending to the film , bringing both levity   and an element of surprisal .
