To be reliable , I ’m not a fully grown fan ofThe Dark Knight Risesteaser . There is n’t much you have to give away with a teaser trailer ( hence the name ) , and in truth , this was more of an " announcement house trailer " than a bonafide " puzzle , " so even less was take ( or await ) of it .
Moreover : at this point you do n’t want a raft to get fans frantic for these Nolan Batman films . The Dark Knightteaser trailerhad very little going for it when it was released - just a couple of familiar insignia ( Batman ’s and The Joker ’s ) alongside some selection dialog that at once set up the assumption and themes of the pic . The actual " flirt " came in the form of in conclusion get a line Heath Ledger ’s Joker phonation and express joy ( though , if you were following the viral effort you had already pick up both ) .
One would mean , then , that withThe Dark Knight RisesNolan and Co. would palpate even more comfortable about resting on their Arthur Stanley Jefferson Laurel . The Dark Knightexponentially increased the level of passion and devotedness for this dealership , and you could probably just recount people when the film open up and they would " market and boost " themselves right into the theater . And yet , despite the easy chore at handwriting , the teaser still carry off to underwhelm .
A destiny of it had to do ( in my opinion ) with what was actually shown . The scene of Commissioner Gordon ( Gary Oldman ) lying in a hospital bed was overly dramatic , his dialog was hammy , had that cringe - inducing line in it ( " … and now this evil rises … " ) , and his talking to was garbled and unmanageable to make out . The sweeping shot of the city landscape - turn - chiropteran - insignia was clever , but the CGI was not the best and it was a piffling too reminiscent of the last successiveness of Nolan’sInceptionteaser trailer . Even the white form of address screenland and font of the title all seemed a minuscule moment off ( though it does forthwith contrastThe Dark Knighttitle sieve , which create a morsel of sentience ) .
In the remnant , the only two things I really can say I liked about thisDark Knight Risesteaser were :
Finally , that fugitive glimpse of fatigue duty and horror on Batman ’s expression gave new credit to some of the rumors we ’ve been hear abouthow Batman and Bane ’s fight turns out(at least ab initio ) . And that had me all kinds of frantic for more .
curb out this hi - res filling of Bane to see why we ’re buzzing :
come home FOR large variation
But that chanting … I really do go for it play a meaningful part in the moving-picture show , otherwise I ’ll have hear to that crazy mumbo - jumbo cadence over and over again for nothing .
