Stephen King ’s spat supernatural revulsion novelITwas magnificently adapted into a television miniseries back in 1990 , with Curry as evil clown around Pennywise . A lot of things can be said of the special event and the script of the second part of the miniseries , but what ’s undeniable is that Curry ’s performance was the highlight of the series ( and the injury of many 90s kids ) .
Now , 27 year later comes the first cinematic adaptation of King ’s novel , with Andrés Muschietti on the hint as director and Skarsgard as the unexampled Pennywise . Early reaction toIThave been quite confirming , praising both Skarsgard ’s take on Pennywise and the kids from the Losers ’ Club , and while the film already hasKing ’s sealing wax of approval , we ca n’t help but enquire what Curry expects from this new version .
In an interview withScreenGeekat Fan Expo Canada , Curry was asked for his intellection on Skarsgard ’s personation of Pennywise , sharing he is“fascinated to see it . ”
“ Well , I like [ Bill ] Skarsgard very much , I recollect he ’s very clever . It ’ll be interesting what kind of buffoon typeface he position on , because it ’s not an obvious clown cheek at all .
